Methodology
STRC Tracker separates two kinds of numbers: daily estimates derived from live trading, and SEC-confirmed weekly totals parsed from 8-K filings. The confirmed figures are authoritative; estimates fill the gap between weekly filings.
Daily Bitcoin-acquisition estimate
For each trading day we sum every STRC trade at or above the $100 par threshold — that's the ATM-eligible dollar volume. We multiply it by the current capture rate (the fraction of above-par ATM proceeds Strategy actually converts to Bitcoin), adjust for the ~2.5% ATM agent fee, and divide by that day's BTC price. The result estimates how much Bitcoin the day's ATM proceeds likely bought.
The capture rate is dynamic
Rather than a fixed assumption, the capture rate is recalculated from the last four confirmed 8-K reconciliations — the ratio of disclosed STRC net proceeds to the ATM-eligible volume in those weeks. It has recently run around 65–75%. This keeps estimates tracking how aggressively Strategy is deploying proceeds.
The $1M ATM floor
Days with less than $1M of above-par volume are treated as zero accumulation. Sub-threshold volume is typically noise, not genuine ATM issuance, so the floor prevents small one-off trades from being misread as Bitcoin purchases.
Estimate vs. SEC VERIFIED
Every week, Strategy files an 8-K disclosing the actual BTC purchased (and, since mid-2026, any sales). Those rows are marked SEC VERIFIED and replace the estimates for that week. Rows still labeled as estimates are model-derived and may shift when the 8-K lands.
Data sources
STRC trades come from Alpaca's market-data API; Bitcoin price from CoinGecko with Kraken and Coinbase as automatic fallbacks; and all filings — purchases, sales, dividend-rate changes, holdings, and USD Reserve figures — directly from SEC EDGAR. The dashboard polls every 60 seconds during market hours; filings and daily snapshots refresh every 15 minutes.
